Tom Mason

Tom carries the following
education: BSc University of Guelph and Seneca College Zookeeper
Course. Occupation: Curator of Invertebrates at the Toronto Zoo and
acting Curator of Birds at the Toronto Zoo. Experience: Worked in
zoos for over 29 years. 23 years at Toronto Zoo. Traveled and
collected on 5 continents. Lead tours for fish and reptile
enthusiasts to Costa Rica. Worked on three recovery teams for
Ontario endangered species. Have bred over 50 species of reptiles
and amphibians. Worked on conservation projects in Cuba and Costa
Rica.
Subjects For Tom's talks are The Reptiles and Amphibians of North
Vietnam, The Fish of Cano Palma, Tortuguero, Costa Rica. The
Reptiles and Amphibians from the Tortuguero Region of Costa Rica.
COTERC: The Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rain
forest Conservation. The Loss of Biodiversity on Earth: Why are
Species Disappearing? General Care and Maintenance of Invertebrates,
Reptiles or Amphibians (This can be a talk on terrarium building,
natural settings for small amphibians or reptiles or the general
care of any of these groups.) A minimum of one month's notice is
