Achievement Award - Aquatic Plant Growers

AQUATIC HORTICULTURIST AWARD
To be given to hobbyists who have reached the novice stage of propagating aquatic plants. The following requirements will be used by the Awards Committee as a basis for selection of applicants.

1) Any application should be made by or countersigned by the executive body of an Aquarist Club.
2) The applicant must have some experience and a good knowledge in the care and maintenance of aquatic plants.
3) The applicant must be successful in propagating at least four (4) species of plants from the local club's Aquatic Horticultural Awards Program, and accumulate 50 points. Note: Must be from Class B, C, or D.

ADVANCED AQUATIC HORTICULTURIST AWARD
To be given to hobbyists who have advanced to a higher level of propagating aquatic plants. The following requirements will be used by the Awards Committee as a basis for selection of applicants.

1) It is mandatory that the applicant hold the Aquatic Horticulturist Award.
2) Any application should be made by or countersigned by the executive body of an Aquarist Club.
3) The applicant must be successful in propagating at least twelve (12) species of plants from the local club's aquatic Horticultural Awards Program, and accumulate 120 points Note: Must include 2 from class C, 2 from class D, and 1 from class E

EXPERT AQUATIC HORTICULTURIST AWARD
To be given to hobbyists who have reached the more advanced level of propagating aquatic plants. The following requirements will be used by the Awards Committee as a basis for selection of applicants.

1) It is mandatory that the applicant hold the Aquatic Horticulturist and Advanced Aquatic Horticulturist Award.
2) Any application should be made by or countersigned by the executive body of an Aquarist Club.
3) The applicant must be successful in propagating at least thirty (30) species of plants from the local club's Aquatic Horticultural Awards Program and accumulate 250 points. Note: Must include 2 from class D, 2 from class E, and 1 from class F.

MASTER AQUATIC HORTICULTURIST AWARD
To be given to hobbyists who have advanced to a higher level of propagating of aquatic plants. The following requirements will serve to clarify the standards required by the Awards Committee before this award will be made.

1) It is mandatory that the applicant hold the Aquatic Horticulturist, Advanced Aquatic Horticulturist, and Expert Aquatic Horticulturist Awards.
2) Any application should be made by or countersigned by the executive body of an Aquarist Club.
3) The applicant must be successful in propagating at least forty (40) species of plants from the local club's aquatic Horticultural Awards Program and accumulate 500 points. Note: Must include 3 from class D, 3 from class E, 2 from class F, and 1 from class G.

GRAND MASTER AQUATIC HORTICULTURIST AWARD
To be given to hobbyists who have reached the highest level of propagating aquatic plants. The following requirements will be used by the Awards Committee as a basis for selection of applicants.

1) It is mandatory that the applicant holds all the previous level awards in the AHAP
program.
2) Any application should be made by or countersigned by the executive body of an Aquarist Club. The following will serve to clarify the standards required by the Awards Committee before this award will be made.
3) The applicant must be successful in propagating at least eighty (80) species of aquatic plants and accumulate 1000 points plus one of the following:
A) a minimum of three (3) lectures
B) three (3) photo essays (10 photos each), pictures to include rootstock, stems, leaves, flowers, seeds
C) an article of identification of a plant to include at least two thousand (2000) words for use in a local or national publication.
