Applying For Awards

HOW TO APPLY FOR AN AQUATIC HORTICULTURIST AWARD
1) Make sure you keep precise records of all plant propagations and even have an Executive member of your local Club/Society verify the propagations.
2) Before applying for a Horticulturist Award, check to see if in fact you meet the requirements of the particular award you are applying for. Remember that you are applying for a CAOAC Aquatic Horticulturist Award. This may, in fact, be different from your Club/Society's Aquatic Horticulturist Award.
3) You may apply for as many levels in the Horticulturist Award Program as you are qualified for in any one year.
4) When applying for an Aquatic Horticulturist Award, fill out the APPLICATION FOR HORTICULTURIST AWARDS form on page 1171 of your Club/Society's CAOAC Information Binder. Part A of the form must be completed by you. Part B is to be completed by an Executive member of your local Club/Society. MAKE SURE THAT THE APPLICATION IS LEGIBLE. 5) A Propagation Resume must accompany the Application. This form is on page 1173 of your Club/Society's CAOAC Information Binder, if you care to use it. If you wish to send a computer generated fist, make sure it includes the same data requested on Page 1173; otherwise it will not be accepted.
6) Make sure that the form has been submitted to your local Club/Society's Regional Representative on the Awards Committee by the FEBRUARY CAOAC GENERAL MEETING.
7) At the Awards Committee meeting, each application is reviewed to ensure that the qualifications are met for the award applied for. Again, the Awards Committee stresses that you include an much information as possible; too little could eliminate you from receiving the award.
8) Check the "Rules for Applying for an Aquatic Horticulturist Award", Page 8062 in your Club/Society's CAOAC Information Binder.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A BREEDER AWARD
1) Make sure you keep precise records of all spawning and even have an Executive member of your local Club/Society verify the spawning.
2) Before applying for a Breeder Award, check to see if in fact you meet the requirements of the particular award you are applying for. Remember that you are applying for a CAOAC Breeder Award. This may, in fact, be different from your Club/Society's Breeder Award,
3) You may apply for as many levels in the Breeder Award Program as you are qualified for in any one year.
4) When applying for a Breeder Award, fill out the APPLICATION FOR BREEDER AWARDS form on page 1161 of your Club/Society's CAOAC Information Binder. Part A of the for must be completed by you. Part B is to be completed by an Executive member of your local Club/Society. MAKE SURE THAT THE APPLICATION IS LEGIBLE.
5) A Spawning Resume (Section C) must accompany the Application. This form is on page 1163 of your Club/Society's CAOAC Information Binder, if you care to use it. If you wish to send a computer generated list, make sure it includes the same data requested on Page 1163; otherwise it will not be accepted.
